Project Manager on “Building a Domestic Offshore Wind Supply Chain”

  • Jumped in midway through a project to help finalize white papers from four different authors, and proceeded to organize and execute a two-part workshop on this subject

  • Edited white papers, coordinated collaboration between EFI, AFL-CIO and white paper authors over a period of several months to create a private and then public workshop that brought together experts and stakeholders across the field

  • Followed-up workshop by presenting on panel at AFL-CIO’s annual meeting

Lead Organizer of “Chicago Water Forum: From the Great Lakes to Our Taps”

  • Co-led a team of graduate students from three Chicago-area universities to apply for a grant from Research!America to hold a science communication event for the general public

  • Coordinated with 5 organizations across the city of Chicago to choose panelists, identify and book a venue, and held an event that connected the public with scientific and public officials working in water

Co-organizer of “Is an Arctic Treaty Near the Horizon? Past Approaches, Challenges, and Lessons”

  • Worked with a group of students on NSPN’s science diplomacy committee to develop the concept of the event, recruit speakers, and run the event digitally over Zoom.

Co-organizer and Presenter at a Series of Law and Science Workshops based on Forensics

  • Collaborated with a team of science and law students to lead two forensics workshops aimed at bringing together both communities

  • Prepared educational materials in different levels to meet the needs and minds of the audiences, facilitating discussion about legal and scientific aspects of forensic practices that brought both communities together

Co-organizer and Presenter at Climate Justice Talk and Workshop

  • Organized a public event at UChicago about climate and environmental justice by utilizing connections from law students

  • Presented scientific background on climate change with an emphasis on projections for the next fifty years and how the poorest and lowest CO2 emitters will be subject to the most harm

  • Guided a discussion on what climate justice could look like on the international stage, and what should be done to build a system that uplifts our civilization rather than allowing the chaos of climate change to devastate us
